Mena Alexandra Suvari (born on 13 February 1979) is a famous American model and actress. She is also a fashion designer model. When she was in 1990, shortly after starting her career as model, Suvari started to appear in tv shows such as Boy Meets World. Her film debut was in the drama Nowhere. Following her appearance of American Beauty (for which she won a BAFTA Award) and American Pie that attracted much attention, she completed her transition into major parts. Her next role was Loser (2000), with American Pie actor Jason Biggs. Later she played the lead character on the screen in Sugar & Spice (2002). Spun is an independent film from 2002 and the thriller movie Trauma (2004) was the most recent of her appearances. In HBO's drama show Six Feet Under. In 2004 she was nominated as an Outstanding Cast member at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008, Suvari was a part in several films such as Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh as well as the film adaptation of The Garden of Eden. Suvari has been a modeling model for Lancome cosmetics as well as print ads in the brand's Lancome Paris Adaptive and has been featured on numerous magazines and fashion blogs like Vogue. Suvari has been a loyal supporter and activist for the highly regarded African relief organization the African Medical and Research Foundation. The organization is also active in the issue of women's empowerment and collaborates with various organizations to support breast cancer awareness and an End Violence Against Women Campaign.
